Lord Jitesh Gadhia //
Lord Jitesh Gadhia

Jitesh Gadhia has over 25 years investment banking experience, having held senior positions at Blackstone, Barclays Capital, ABN AMRO and Baring Brothers. He has been involved in a wide range of high profile M&A and capital raising transactions across developed and emerging markets, including some of the largest investment flows between UK and India. He was appointed to the House of Lords in August 2016. Jitesh is currently a Board Member of UK Government Investments (UKGI) and UK Financial Investments (UKFI) which manages the public shareholdings in The Royal Bank of Scotland and a significant portfolio of mortgage assets. He is also a Board Member of BGL Group Limited which owns comparethemarket.com, the UK’s largest financial price comparison website. Jitesh graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Economics and attended the London Business School as a Sloan Fellow. He has served as a Trustee of Guy's and St Thomas' Charity and the National Endowment for Science, Technology & the Arts. Jitesh is a Member of the UK-India CEO Forum and of the FICCI UK Advisory Board. He was also selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.

Salim Janmohamed is the managing director of Karali Group, one of the largest independent franchisees of Burger King.

Janmohamed has four decades experience in the fast food and casual dining business and he is consulted by established, new and potential entrants to the UK market in the franchise business.

His expertise is in turnaround of operations, sales and profit of the business. He a senior volunteer in his Ismaili community and also plays an active part in his local communities where they work and operate and donates to various charities, both local and global.

Salim is married and has two children.

Nick Kounoupias is a solicitor and the general counsel of AMG. He is one of Britain's leading experts in intellectual property (IP) and anti-piracy matters. As founder and CEO of Kounoupias IP, an intellectual property consultancy, Nick provides guidance to businesses which want to understand and protect their intellectual property both within the UK and internationally.

He is a regularly contributor to IP journals, books and also provides professional training on IP at seminars and webinars.

Among his several industry appointments, Nick has been founder and vice chairman of the Alliance for IP (previously the cross-industry Alliance against Counterfeiting and Piracy) , a board director of the Federation against Software Theft (FAST), Chief Legal Counsel to Anti-Copying in Design (“ACID”). Nick was appointed a Liveryman of the Worshipful Guild of Furniture Makers and a Freeman of the City of London.

Kalpesh Solanki, is Chief Executive and Group Managing Editor of the Asian Media Group. Kalpesh graduated with a law degree (LLB Hons) from Queen Mary College, London and qualified as a barrister from the Inner Temple.

Kalpesh is responsible for the strategy and growth of its three core business sectors: Publishing, Digital, Events and Customer Relationship Management facilities in Ahmedabad and Kochi, India. AMG Direct holds unique databases Asian businesses and households throughout the UK.

Shailesh Solanki graduated with a BSc Hons in Economics from University College, London. He is Executive Editor of the Asian Media Group, looking after the editorial function across the group’s titles: Asian Trader, Garavi Gujarat Newsweekly (UK and US editions), Eastern Eye, Pharmacy Business and Asian Hospitality. Shailesh is also responsible for the group’s events division and US business which is based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Amit Roy is one of the most experienced journalists to have covered the Asian community and writes an influential column in Eastern Eye. He has also worked as a foreign correspondent for the Daily Telegraph, the Daily Mail, The Sunday Times and the Sunday Telegraph.

Amit has covered wars all over the world, as well as the Iranian revolution. He has also written economic reports on India for the Daily Telegraph.

Brett Warburton // Warburtons

He began his career at at RHM Foods in London before moving to the family firm of Warburtons Limited in Manchester. His hard work led to his promotion as factory manager. In the early 1980s, Brett went to Harvard and graduated from the prestigious institution with an MBA in 1985.

Back in England, there were stints at Imperial Bakeries and Warburtons Bread Division.

In 1991, Brett was appointed joint managing director (operations), becoming sole managing director (2001- May 2006) before he took up his current role of executive director.

Brett supports Bolton Wanderers Football Club and has served on its board. He has also been a member of the FA Council, though he no longer has any connections with football.

Brett also represents Warburtons Limited on the Council of Campden BRI - Europe's largest member owned food and drink research association.
